Musings from the Airport

I am writing this as I am sitting in the London Heathrow airport. I can't sleep anymore and this is on the list of things to do...
Travel on an emergency passport is not something I would wish on anyone. Please make sure that you have your passport… right now… go and look!
Every airport when I handed them my passport, looked at it briefly and then asked, "where is your passport?" I explained that this is my emergency passport...
I thought that once I left Russia it would be smooth sailing; but I think there were just as many problems outside of Russia if not more. I think in Russia I was not questioned as throughly because of the language brrier, where in other places there was no lack of Englsih.

People watching, window shopping and language listening. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon, at least all is quiet and everything in order for now!

Back in Canada I am continuting with this post. I have made it here safe and sound. The only glitch is that both my bags decided that they wanted an extra day in London, so they are arriving tomorrow evening.
I also wanted to say that I found a feedback form where I have commented about travellig with an emergency passport and what I think should/could be done better.

In closing...
“Oh Canada, my home and native land…”
