Mission Bridge Vladivostok
Last Monday: when Masha and I entered the church at 7am we had no idea how many people would come to our mission Bridge Project. MB is a two -week program – first half we get to know God better while the second half in making him known. Lat year we run it as a camp and went on outreach to villages. But to make it more affordable we decided 3 days before the start to run it as a day camp. We didn’t have time to make big announcements, so we just told some people that were interested, but couldn’t come because of finances.
At nine people started to come. We have 13 students from 5 different churches! Wow, how did that happen? I guess it was God. I was sharing lectures about holiness and what we can do to live in holiness. On Tuesday and Friday we had two pastors from local churches, Masha and I did the rest. We still had the DTS outreach team from Australia with us – they were a big help. Of course there was much more than lecture – work duties, outreach preparation, games, prayer, lunch and so on. Elya said: “These five days have rocked my world!”
All the students have decided to do the outreach in the city next week. It will be a time of evangelism, intercession, worship – hear and do what is on God’s heart. I am excited that outreach will be in the city this year.
Next week I can tell you more how that all went. Now I am really tired. The team from Australia left early in the morning – After going to bed at 2am Masha and I had to leave our apartment at 4.45am to walk to their place to walk with all their luggage to the bus station.
I don’t remember when I have been bored last time…
