International Vladivostok

Life can be quite crazy. This Friday we have had a team here from YWAM Seattle: they were 19 Koreans (and some American Koreans). Good thing we still havethe team from Australia here, so they could help us to cook for the Koreans. We shared about YWAM Vladivostok and they shared about their plans. It was interesting to spend the day with them, even though I would never want to travel with a team this big! I believe the ideal size for an outreach team is 5-6 people. They were only here for two nights and then off to Korea. While I was attending their meeting with another Korean missionary, Masha and the Australian team run the youth group in a church. It was quite an adventure to get they Koreans back to the place they were staying – the buses in Russia can get very crammed and you have to make sure you are close to the exit when your stop comes up. Unfortunately I thought it was one stop later, and only realized that it was ours when we already stopped. But miraculously the 19 Koreans that were scattered all over the stuffed bus pushed themselves through to the exit.
The next day we were involved in a rally against abortion. Young Christians from different churches in Vladivostok organized that event on the main walking street in the city center. It was good to set a sign and to stand up for the millions of lives killed every year. Even to police was there, making sure all went organized. Out team performed with a song and a drama. I am sure that event rose awareness in the society! We could even give some interviews at the end☺.
We still have the Team from Brisbane here for another 3 weeks. It’s great to have so much support here in Vladivostok!
