Veliky Novgorod is one of the most beautiful and ancient cities of Russia with rich and stormy history. According the chronicles Novgorod was established in 859 and this year we celebrate Universary - 1150 years of city foundation. In the Middle Ages Veliky Novgorod was the capital of Novgorodian Republik - the huge territory from Kolski peninsula in the North till Torzhok city in the South. Now it is a small provincial city, green and cozy, "the museum of history under the open sky", the "motherland" of russian democracy. The ministry of Youth With A Misson" in Veliky Novgorod has just started and this is why there are two full-time staff and wonderful voluntiers from different churches who commited theimselves to serving God and ready to follow Him till the end of the earth. We believe that God has a special plan for the city and as in the Middle Ades Veliky Novgorod is called to play an important role in the history of Russia. Nowadays as a team we gather together, pray and do some evangelism projects in city and in the villages around it, helping local churches in extending God's Kingdom and encouraging believers by words and deeds. In the future we plan to run short-term mission schools, DTSs, we would like to do short-term outreach trips in Russia and beyond it, to organize seminars and mission conferences etc...
