Part 2 - Jewish Ministries
Welcome back,
I apologize about the delay in getting this blog online. Life has been crazy for me this week with unexpected surprises… but I will share more on that next week.
Last week I introduced Olya to you and briefly introduced Jewish Ministries. Let me recap a bit and then continue to share.
Vision: That Jewish people would find their God through Jesus the Messiah and that the Church would be reconciled to their Jewish roots. It is a two part process: building and developing relationships, friendship and fellowship with the Jewish world, and restoring the Church to her Jewish roots and the acknowledgment of God's firstborn, as well as their calling to serve the Lord together along with the firstborn.

Their main ministry at this time is dancing. God is using this as way to build relationships with churches and communities. One of the reasons why is that any teaching and sharing about Jewish issues has been met with resistance and silence in a lot of the churches. They have seen some articles printed in local church newspapers and one in St. Petersburg. They have also seen some recent opportunities come from the local Jewish community here in Rostov, where after building relationship they have seen the doors open to have them come share and teach dance classes!
I really want to see this changed. Let’s pray that God will open the doors to churches to talk about Jewish issues. I know that this is an area I want and need more information about… how much do you know?
One of the main ways they get involved is in celebrating Biblical feasts. You can find a list of feasts in Leviticus 23. Olya will prepare a small message to show how the New Testament reveals the true meaning of the holiday and then they dance as a group and work on getting the congregation involved as well.
Most of the ministry that they have been involved with to this point has been with churches in Rostov and South Russia; recently though they are seeing doors opened to get more involved with the actual Jewish community. They do hope to travel more…
One new opportunity that they are taking part in is in going to Israel.
They leave November 13th and will be gone until the 24th. There are 8 people going.
WHY?
To be a blessing to people in Israel and to find people and ministries who will be willing to serve, support and partner Jewish ministries here in Rostov on Don and region. While there they will also receive teaching on messianic Judaism.

After we talked about this opportunity, one of the first questions that came to my mind was if they were going to be doing any other trips abroad.
I got an excited YES. While Olya was praying God gave her a picture of a feast of joy and celebration of life that started in Jerusalem and spread all over Europe.
Prayer requests:
That there would be more opportunities to teach and share about Jewish Ministries and reconciliation issues in churches.
That there dancing would be true worship for them and for those watching and not just a program.
That they would be a light to show people they are ministering to about their Savior Jesus.
That their time in Israel would go well with travel; ministry and receiving from others.
That they would take every opportunity while they are there to give and receive!
Pray for their finances.
I can not wait to see what doors God will open up for them!!!
