Two days ago we finished off our MISSION BRIDGE 2009! This was the first project of YWAM Vladivostok and it was awesome! We had 12 participants from three different churches – all wonderful people!
Again things turned out a bit different: most people chose to go on outreach in the ‘Prymorskii Krai’ region, so instead of sending a team to China we had two teams in the region here. At first I was a bit disappointed, but I trusted God that he would know what he was doing. And He did☺. After one week of training camp Masha’s team left to go up north and my team went east to a little Russian village. It was seven of us and we worked together with a local church that has been planted not long ago. MY TEAM WAS AWESOME (I hope they read this☺), they invested their gifting, stepped out and shared Christ in all kinds of situations. Many locals saw Gods love in us, several gave their lives to Jesus and long-lasting relationships were built.
We made friends with the villages ‘coolest’ guy; he brought his friends to the Wednesday night service, which was the first miracle. When they wanted to leave to get a smoke heavy rain started to pour down and they couldn’t leave the church, they were all trapped. The pastor used the moment and directed his sermon straight to them. God touched their hearts. The pastor invited them back for the youth service that didn’t exist before!
I just praise God for all he has done in us and through us!
