It's 5 am and my night-security shift is slowly coming to an end. So I thought I would use this last hour wisely and give you a little update about our Kids club. This quarter we are planing our programs around 'the kingdom of God'. Last Saturday we talked about the importance of repentance and the joy of forgiveness. At two o'clock we had a special guest showing up: one of the boys (an orphan) Grandma came to check out where her grandson spends his Saturdays. She was very interested in what we do and I explained to her the goals and values of Kids club. She decided to stay for the whole time and payed very close attention to the lesson! In the drama we made up we presented the fact that every one has the choice of what to do with his guilt and mistakes in life. And if you choose to keep them until you die and stand before God, he might not let you into heaven. But if you give your bad stuff to Jesus, you can be free even here on earth AND go to heaven. (Sounds like the better deal). Even though we showed a funny and creative skit, the TRUTH came out very clearly. The Babushka (Grandma) was very moved and couldn't stop thanking us for what we are doing here. She said that she has to tell her Babushka-friends about this!
Kids club is such an amazing tool to present the gospel and God is doing amazing things!
